“The perfect workspace.”

Does it exist? The answer is yes!

As the office takes on new functions, shapes, and layouts, finding the right mix of furniture and design will make your space more attractive to your teams, and to visitors. That’s the key to better work, and happier, more productive employees.

At HON, we believe an amenities driven workplace  is paramount to personal and professional well-being. Best-in class solutions, convenient and innovative tools—as well as flexible, organic spaces that encourage productivity away from standard workstations—are vital to evolve traditional offices into adaptable, inclusive environments.

We’ve partnered with companies large and small for projects that require small tweaks and big ideas. No vision is too bold and no idea is too daring; we always tell our customers that if they can dream it, we can do it.

Office Renovation Made Easy

An office reimagination or renovation is a significant undertaking. But for many businesses right now, it’s an essential one.

A recent study showed 77% of companies plan to develop an office floor plan that’s more flexible, open, and accommodating for various styles of work. We’ve teamed up with our customers and partners to develop game-changing solutions that revolutionize their spaces, and that put employees in the best position to do their best work in this new environment.

One example? Horizon House, a non-profit organization committed to fighting homelessness, wanted to create a space that was community-focused and collaborative.

“One of our primary goals for this renovation was to honor our roots and continue our commitment to serve the community in a thoughtful, collaborative way. The building’s structure reflects Horizon House’s values and vision: Openness, flexibility, and mindfulness. I believe it will serve us well as we move forward with a renewed sense of purpose and continue our mission to build a solid foundation for the futures of people in need and our hardworking employees,” said Patrick R. Wolodzko, Vice President of Real Estate.

For this project, HON’s mission was to help Horizon House build a workspace that met the needs of its team in the present, but also be prepared for the future.

Our partners at Horizon House wanted an office that energized employees and made them feel valued. And above all else, the space needed to be adaptable. When we talk about providing “smart solutions,” this is a big part of that. While some employees may prefer to work at an individual station, others feel more comfortable in an open floor plan that offers a variety of desks, tables, and more.

“This renovation was about reimagining what being a trusted community partner means,” said Peggy Rowe, Vice President of Advancement at Horizon House. “Beyond getting back to our roots and rediscovering the community where our services are most needed, we wanted an adaptable and efficient workspace that boosted staff morale and offered a holistic work environment to help the Horizon House staff and clientele grow, develop, and be the best they can be.”

“There’s no question we’ve accomplished that, and we’re looking forward to many more decades of healthy connections and shared goals to come.”

Custom Solutions Can Revitalize a Workplace

Making bold changes or updates to your office’s design can do a number of things, but one of the most important is the concept of modernization.

As more data is released showing the reality of having to entice employees to come back to the office, it becomes clear that “doing something different” can mean a number of things. In the context of work and the office space, it’s about finding a way forward that’s exciting for everyone in your organization.

The timing couldn’t be better, which is one reason why our partners at Samaritan Hospice seized an opportunity to update their office space ahead of employees’ return to the office.

“Samaritan has always been dedicated to an inclusive, team-oriented environment. As we launch our plans for safely returning to the office, we look forward to hosting meetings, support groups, and trainings. This renovation has revitalized our new administrative office and Samaritan’s executive leadership team looks forward to welcoming our employees and volunteers into this modern and friendly environment to continue our important mission of serving the community,” said Mary Ann Boccolini, Samaritan President and CEO.

People look forward to coming to work in a modern, dynamic office space. It can boost morale, encourage collaboration, and serve as a fresh start toward a new chapter.

We’re grateful to our customers and partners for their trust in the HON team. Creating these smart solutions takes both a village and a wealth of collaboration, and we take pride in bringing their visions to life.
